AP PGLCET is conducted to by Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher
Education (APSCHE) to offer admission to aspirants in LLM programmes
available as full-time regular courses at Universities of Andhra Pradesh and
their affiliated colleges. Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur is
conducting AP PGLCET 2018 on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher
Education (APSCHE), Hyderabad. Apart from this, aspirants who want to secure
admission in LLM (including self-financing) also need to qualify AP PGLCET
2018. The official website informs: “The AP Post-graduate law common entrance
test – 2018 & its admissions will be made in strict compliance of the
Rules and Regulations of the University Concerned, APSCHE and relevant G.O.s
of A.P that are in force and also amendments that may come into force from
time to time”. |

Eligibility |
Candidates meet AP PGLCET 2018 eligibility criteria if they possess
LLB/B.L. 3 years or 5 year degree at the time of applying for AP PGLCET exam.
Apart from this, aspirants are also eligible to apply for the law entrance
exam if they have appeared for or are appearing for their LLB/BL Final year
exam. But their admission will only be confirmed if they clear their
qualifying exam at the time of counselling. Candidates are informed that only
appearing in AP PGLCET 2018 will not guarantee admission. “The candidate
should satisfy all the eligibility criteria and should satisfy rules
governing admission as are applicable”, states the official website. Another
eligibility criteria for AP PGLCET that aspirants need to fulfill is that
they should be Indian Nationals. |
Exam Centres |
AP PGLCET 2018 exam dates have not been declared yet. However, last
year the law entrance exam was conducted at the below mentioned test
cities:
• Tirupati
• Visakhapatnam
• Guntur
• Anantapuramu |
Pattern |
AP PGLCET 2018 Exam Pattern is such that aspirants need to attempt 120
question in 90 minutes duration. In AP PGLCET law entrance exam for LLM
course admissions, candidates need to mark their answers in an OMR sheet with
a Ball Point Pen (Blue or Black). |
Admit Card |
AP PGLCET admit cards are issued by Sri Krishnadevaraya University,
Anantapur on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education
(APSCHE). Candidates can get their AP PGLCET hall ticket from the official
website of the law entrance exam by providing their registration number and
date of birth. AP PGLCET 2018 admit card will only be issued online and so
separate hall ticket would not be sent via post to any candidate under any circumstance.
The admit card for AP PGLCET 2018 is a mandatory document for any aspirant
who wants to take the exam to secure admission in 3 year and 5 year law
programmes offered in the state of Andhra Pradesh. No candidate will be
allowed to appear for the exam if he/she is not carrying a valid AP PGLCET
hallticket on the day of the test to their exam centre. |
Results |
Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur announces AP PGLCET results
on the official website of the law entrance exam. AP PGLCET exam is conducted
in May and result for Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Common Law Entrance Test
(AP PGLCET) is declared in June. Candidates can view AP PGLCET 2018 results
on the official website of the law entrance exam by filling their AP PGLCET
2018 registration number and date of birth. The result for AP PGLCET exams
contains the candidate’s score and rank in the exam. AP PGLCET ranks are
prepared on the basis of marks secured by aspirants in the exam. AP PGLCET is
a 90 minutes duration exam in which candidates need to attempt a total of 120
questions. The qualifying marks in AP PGLCET exam is 25%. However, for SC/ST
candidates there are no qualifying marks for ranking. |
Counselling |
AP
PGLCET counselling is held after results for the law entrance exam are
announced. As part of AP PGLCET 2018 counselling candidates need to appear
for document verification and thereafter select their preferred college.
Candidates need to appear for AP PGLCET counselling rank-wise. The law
entrance exam is conducted by Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur on
behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) to
shortlist aspirants for admission in three year and five law programmes
offered in colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh. |
