Calcutta University conducts entrance exams to provide admission to
candidates in undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the
university and its affiliated colleges. Courses offered by the varsity in
which admissions are done on the basis of entrance exams include Law, BTech,
MTech, MSc, M Ed, M Com, etc. Further, we are providing information for

Candidates who have cleared Standard XII or its equivalent (in the
year 2016, 2017, 2018 only) from a recognised board with minimum 45% marks in
best four subjects fulfill Calcutta University entrance exam 2018 eligibility
criteria for BA LLB course. It may be noted that candidates cannot include
the subject of Environmental Studies of West Bengal Council of Higher
Secondary Education (WBCHSE) in the best four subjects, informs the official
website. Also, for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PwD category, minimum
percentage required in best four subjects in Standard XII is 40%. |
| Exam Pattern |
Calcutta
University entrance exam 2018 pattern for BA LLB course is such that the
question paper will contain objective-type multiple choice questions. Each
question will have four options and candidates need to mark the correct
answer. There will only be one correct answer in Calcutta University Entrance
Exam for law. Duration of the exam is 2.5 hours.
Marking scheme: There is no negative
marking in the exam.
Calcutta University Entrance Exam Syllabus
for BA LLB Course
Calcutta University does not prescribe any syllabus for BA LLB entrance
exam. However, questions in the exam will be based on subjects such as
English, GK, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning, states the official website. |
| Results |

Calcutta University declares result for BA LLB course in online mode
on its official website as per the prescribed date. Date for declaration of
Calcutta University entrance exam 2018 result for law courses is not out yet.
However, the same is expected to be released in June/ July, 2018. Candidates
can check their Calcutta University entrance exam result by clicking the
Result link present on the website. The result/ merit list of BA LLB and LLM
course will contain roll numbers of all candidates who have qualified the
written test. The result will also contain ranks awarded to candidates. After
result is declared candidates will be called for counselling round where they
will be allotted seats in their respective colleges and courses. |
| Admit Card |

Candidates can download their Calcutta University entrance exam admit
card from the official website of the varsity latest by the stipulated date.
Calcutta University entrance exam 2018 admit card will contain candidate
details (name, roll number, etc) and exam details (date, time, name and
address of centre, etc). Once downloaded, candidates need to take a printout
of the Calcutta University entrance exam admit card and carry it to the
allotted test centre on the day of exam. Candidates are also advised to carry
an original photo ID proof with themselves. It may be noted that candidates
not having their admit card at the time of exam might not be allowed to write
the test. |

candidates are called for counselling session where they are offered seats on
