| Eligibility
Criteria |
| A candidate for admission in Diploma in
Psychiatric Nursing (DPN) should have following qualification to join the
course: |
| i. Be a Registered Nurse (Registered Nurse and
Registered Midwife) or equivalent possessing a minimum of one year
exeperience as staff nurse |
| ii. Nurses from other countries must obtain and equivalent
certificate from INC before admission |
| Selection Procedure |
| The selection will be made on the basis of merit
in the entrance examination which will be conducted by GMCH under the
auspices of Punjab University |
| The minimum cut off marks for admission to Diploma
in Psychiatric Nursing course for various categories will be as follows: |
a) 50% for candidates belonging to General
Category
b) 45% for candidates belonging to Physically Handicapped Category
and;
c) 40% for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste Category |

Chandigarh website www.gmch.gov.in. The candidate desiours for applying for
the course has to deposit Rs.500/- (General Category) and Rs.250/- (Schedule
Caste) as application fee |
| All the candidates have to apply online
mandatorily. Either last date of submitting /reaching the printout of
application submitted online along with relevant documents personally or by
registered post/courier is 17th September by 04.00 pm in Diary and Dispatch
