Common Management
Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level computer-based management entrance
test. The test is conducted by All India Council of Technical Education
(AICTE). It is a three hour online test which is conducted in a single
session to evaluate the candidate’s ability across various segments like
Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General
Awareness. CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions/University
Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges.
CMAT 2018 registrations began
on October 20, 2017 and the last date to submit application forms is December
25, 2017. The exam will be held on January 20, 2018. |

Eligibility |
The eligibility criteria for CMAT 2018 is:
• The aspirant should be a graduate in any discipline
• Final year students of graduate courses (10+2+3) are also eligible for
CMAT, provided the results are declared before commencement of admission for
2018
• There’s no age limit for CMAT
• The candidate must be a citizen of India |

Syllabus |
CMAT exam pattern
has five main sections: Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation,
Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability and General Knowledge. CMAT syllabus
revolves around Basic Mathematics (mostly arithmetic from standard 1 to 10),
Reasoning and Reading Comprehension.

• CMAT 2018 result will be declared tentatively
in February. Test takers can download their scorecards from the official
website using their respective login credentials.
• Along with scorecard, AICTE will release all India rank list with name,
sectional-wise scores and total scores obtained by each test taker. The merit
list will contain roll number, rank and the score of all the
candidates.
• In CMAT 2017, Maharashtra candidate Saras Suhane topped CMAT 2017 with
100 percentile (overall score: 350). Laganjit Das, who stood second, also
scored 100 percentile overall (overall score: 329).
• Six other candidate scored 99.99 percentile (overall) and two women
candidates found their place in top 10. Khushboo Raghani, ranked 7th, scored
99.99 percentile (overall) and Medha Sharma, ranked 10th, scored 99.98
percentile (overall).
• Window to download the electronically generated score card from the
official website will be open for limited period (for about a month) thus the
candidates must download their scorecards as soon as the download window
opens. Hard copy scorecards will not be sent by email or post to the
candidates.
• After the result is declared the candidates are invited for counselling
by the institutes accepting CMAT scores, on the basis of marks obtained in
the exam. In case there’s no counselling, the admissions are conducted on the
basis of CMAT score only. |
Admit Card |
CMAT 2018 admit
cards will be made available for download at least a week before the exam.
Registered candidates can download their admit cards by using their login
IDs.
To download admit cards, follow the steps given below:
• Go to the official website
• Click on admit card
section
• Enter email ID and
password
• Download admit card
The admit card will have
the following details:
• Photo
• Name and signature of the candidate
• CMAT Roll number
• Test date
• Time
• Reporting time at the venue
• Venue name
• Venue address
• Brief instructions for the candidate
The candidates are advised
to check the details and take two print outs of the admit card. In case of
any discrepancy or inability to take a print out, the candidates must contact
CMAT helpdesk at the following phone
number 022-6625830.
It is mandatory to carry a
copy of the admit card to the exam centre. Candidates not carrying their
admit cards will not be allowed to appear in the exam. Thus, they must
download their admit cards as hard copies of the same will not be sent to
anyone.
The candidates are advised
to keep their admit cards safely with them till the admission process is
over. |
Application form |
The
application form is available at this URL :
• CMAT 2018 application process has been extended to December 25, 2017.
Earlier, the last date to submit the online forms was December 18, 2017. To
apply for CMAT 2018, candidates need to register on the official CMAT website
as new user. On successful registration, a login ID will be shared which can
be used for all login purposes.
• Registered candidates will have to login to fill the application form.
While filling the application form, aspirants need to select dates and three
cities (test venues) for online examination in the order of preference.
• Thereafter, candidates will be allotted dates and test centres on “first
come first served” basis. Actual allotment, however, will be subject to
availability of the slots in a particular city.
• Candidates can pay the application fee via Net Banking / Credit / Debit
Card through www.aicte-cmat.in. One can also opt for Cash Payment through
challan generated online and cash deposited in any branch of State Bank of
India (SBI). |
Test Fee |
Test fees for
General and OBC candidates is Rs 1400 + Bank charges, while for SC/ST/PD
candidates it is Rs 700 + Bank charges.
“Test Fee once remitted shall
not be refunded under any circumstances,” informed an official
notification.

• Fill all the fields with correct information
• Do not leave any field marked mandatory, empty
• Check all the information entered before submitting. Once submitted the
form cannot be edited
• Upload a recent passport sized photo of self and a copy of scanned
