Private management Institutes allowed to conduct their own Entrance Exams

Private institutions which are conducting Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) courses are going to get a lot of relief for this academic year from the Bombay high court on Thursday. Now, they are allowed to conduct their own Common Entrance Tests (CET).

MCI proposes All India Entrance Test for MBBS Admission

Medical Council of India (MCI) , the regulatory body for medical education, has proposed one entrance examination for all medical colleges in the country. This will cover 290 medical colleges, both private and government-run.

Parents want changes in grading system for HSSC exam

As the final examination for the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) started on March 7, the parents are asking for modifications of grading system for this academic year. They have suggested that final marks at the time of declaring the results should be higher of the two obtained by the candidate namely internal assessment (20 per cent) plus board performance (80 per cent) or board performance (100 per cent).
